are they freaky artist pigeons or something? i bet lofts are a lot cheaper there than in bushwick.

Actually, the clay jars which are built into the mudbrick to house the pigeons are mainly full of wasps at the moment. Pigeon is a delicacy in Egypt, but birds are the enemies of archaeologists to a certain extent.
